Count It Down

Comments about Beyonce creativity and where her inspiration comes from often focuses on avant garde artists from Europe, however, this video also reminds me of the great Diahann Carroll – the first Black womyn to appear on television in her own sitcom,  the  classic and incomparable Julia.  It gives me pause to realize that in 2012 there is no prime time equivalent to Julia, even though Shonda Rimes is one of the hotest writers and producers in television right now.
